Abyss 1266 TC

The JPS Labs Abyss TC headphones are the successor to the original Abyss, which was a newcomer to the world of ultra-high-end headphones in November 2013, and later to the Abyss Phi CC.

Its final version, as we know it today and therefore called the Abyss TC, was released five and a half years after the introduction of the first Abyss, which itself went on sale a year after its first public appearance.

I was the first shop in France and Europe to receive the initial version in November 2013. I thus launched this magnificent headphone in my country, and since then, I have never stopped enjoying it.

Abyss patented TC (Total Consciousness) planar speaker drivers make the AB1266 TC one of the highest resolution headphones on the planet, allowing you to hear the most subtle natural nuances within your music. This headphone is well known for having the most effortless powerful bass in the world with no equal.

Newly redesigned soft and comfortable hybrid ear pads made with the finest lambskin and Ultrasuede materials with a soft memory foam core improve the sound even further, in total taking this latest generation AB1266 TC acoustic performance to even higher levels of sonic bliss. A fine leather headband and multitude of adjustability allows this big powerful headphone to literally float on your head; it's far more comfortable than it looks.

From the very first note you will hear musicians and instruments in a whole new way. Voices appear out of nowhere and float outside of your head. Piano is in front of you to the left, singers in front of you and drums slightly forward of them. • Abyss Headphones CNC machine and finish all aluminum frame components, produce their planer speaker drivers, and skillfully assemble the AB1266 TC with US made stainless steel hardware, all within their own USA facility.

• Chassis consists of left/right side frames and adjustable two piece headband. No plastic parts to break, all components machined from solid aluminum for exceptional strength. Integrated resonance control for minimal added coloration.

• High quality two-tone polymer ceramic finish, the hardest thin film coating in the world.

• Patented planar magnetic transducer design utilizing Abyss’s very thin, very low mass diaphragm.
