ES-2a looks and sounds like legendary Stax Omega.
Be aware, EHT-7 is not an headphone amplifier. Only must be used to energize electrostatics headphones and must be hooked up to an external amplifier (10 watts minimum)
With the ES Lab EHT-7, there's no need to buy a separate electrostatic headphones amplifier. Your existing amplifier (10 watts minimum) will work perfectly, and EHT-7 will provide the bias voltage (580V) to the stators of the ES-2a headphone. The EHT-7 is completely transparent and will not add any coloration to the sound of your amplifier. The ES-2a headphone will therefore be amplified by the sound of your amplifier without any degradation.
