PERSEUS was created as a result of extensive experience in designing amplifiers that directly drive ribbon headphones and dates back to 2019.
That potential allowed SAEQ to create PERSEUS (giant slayer).
SAEQ was the first to manufacture amplifiers capable of directly driving ribbon headphones. Unlike the celebrated amp HSA-1b, here they have made the output for ribbon headphones more efficient avoiding the huge dissipation of the output stage.
PERSEUS was created as a consequence of the current need for amplifiers that have the ability to directly drive ribbon, planar and dynamic headphones. Practically three in one.
Its incredible agility and ease in driving all three types of headphones simply confuses listeners.
You can connect RAAL Magna, Susvara and Abyss 1266 to it at the same time, it continues to play clearly and transparently without any negative phenomena in the sound presentation. A powerful quasi-complementary type output stepper makes it insensitive to the type of loading. The entire performance is traditional with discrete elements. Additional detail is due to the stabilized power source, which makes the circuit resistant to variations in the mains voltage.
The double feedback that SAEQ traditionally apply manages to articulate fine sonic details that confuse you when you hear them in this price class of amplifiers. SAEQ team is sure that in addition to numerous audiophiles, PERSEUS will also be accepted by professionals who are involved in creating music tracks in studios and who are involved in post-production. It's sound is really somewhere between Morpheus smoothness and Hyperion's sparkle. Something definitely new. This class of amplifier requires high-class DACs and quality interconnect cables in order for its sound presentation to be in full glory.
