With the ES Lab EHT-7, there's no need to buy a separate electrostatic headphones amplifier.
Your existing speaker amplifier will work perfectly, and the EHT-7 will provide the bias voltage (580V) to the stators of the EX-1a headphone.
The EHT-7 is completely transparent and will not add any coloration to the sound of your amplifier.
The EX-1a headphone will therefore be amplified by the sound of your amplifier without any degradation.
